Mexico is investing $16 million (163 million pesos) to save a highly endangeredporpoise from fishing nets trolling its habitat in the upper Gulf of California. The effort drew praise from scientists who believe the population of the "vaquitamarina," Spanish for "little sea cow," has dwindled to 150 or less from more than 500 a decade ago.
