(Inner Designs) “I’m a painting and sculpture artist by training, but I’ve always wanted to create art that people live with: their homes, places of work and their apparel. My design career has been devoted to aiding people in having what works for them and nurtures their daily lives rather than the latest trend.” says Lennon.

The store features Lennon’s original designs of women’s jackets, scarves, wraps, carry bags, men’s ties, camp shirts, and unusual earrings and other gift items. “I’m a painting and sculpture artist by training, but I’ve always wanted to create art that people live with: their homes, places of work and their apparel. My design career has been devoted to aiding people in having what works for them and nurtures their daily lives rather than the latest trend.” says Lennon. “When I’m designing inventory for the store rather than for a specific customer’s order, I think of myself as creating something for someone special I have yet to meet.”
Robin Lennon came to Newton in June to participate in the Project Self-Sufficiency month-long fundraiser celebration for the new campus of buildings on Mill Road. She soon learned about the Main Street program in Newton and the SpringBoardShoppes retail incubator opportunity. It was then she decided to open a store in Newton but because the retail incubator space has been delayed she has taken temporary space at 192 Spring Street and will relocate across the street once the incubator spaces are available at 145 Spring St.
“I’ve had a summer home in Stockholm for 16 years and have always loved the area and now I have the opportunity to live and work in Sussex County year round. I hope that the people here will come in and see what I have to offer and that they will find something special for themselves or as a gift for another.”
A sense of her work can be found on the internet at either of her websites: www.RobinLennon.com for fashion and www.InnerDesigns.com for interior design and consulting.
Regular fall hours are Wednesday through Saturday 12:00 Noon to 8:00PM. Appointments for other days and hours are encouraged and welcomed.
