Thanksgiving Coffee has created a gift basket including three bags of Mirembe Kawomera Coffee (a sweet, nutty coffee from Uganda with notes of pecan and nutmeg), a CD of Abayudaya - the Jews of Uganda, and a bar of fair trade chocolate, ready to be enjoyed as you celebrate Hanukkah 2007. The gift basket is available on the Thanksgiving Coffee website: Hanukkah Gift Basket
Mirembe Kawomera means "delicious peace" in the Ugandan language, Luganda, and is the name of a cooperative in eastern Uganda made up of Christian, Jewish and Muslim coffee growers working together in peace. The farmers of the Mirembe Kawomera Cooperative are a courageous example of people of faith working together for peace, tolerance, and economic justice.

Mirembe Kawomera Coffee is Fair Trade Certified, guaranteeing the farmers a fair price for their coffee and supporting the 558 family farmers of the Mirembe Kawomera Cooperative.
