ShelterBox Responds to Flooding in Burkina Faso
DECEMBER 03, 2009ShelterBox Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's capital, was hit by its heaviest rainfall in 90 years. A ShelterBox Response Team travelled to the region to assess the need for ShelterBoxes.ShelterBox sent aid for up to 5,000 people which reached Burkina Faso thanks to ShelterBox warehouse staff and volunteers, as well as Newquay Cornwall Airport. The government of Luxembourg funded a plane which flew 500 ShelterBox tents out of Newquay Cornwall Airport to Ougadougou.www.shelterbox.org
