Philanthropic groups are paying off the $30 million debt of Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The Kimmel Center also says dozens of individual donors are pitching in to boost the center's endowment to $72 million.

The complex deal involves the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Lenfest Foundation, clothing magnate Sidney Kimmel, the state and other sources.
