The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world's largest charitable foundation, plans to announce its new CEO on Monday.
It has been looking for new leadership since CEO Patty Stonesifer announced in February that she would step down.
Stonesifer, who has led the foundation since its inception in 1997, will continue to work with the foundation.
In the past decade, the Gates Foundation has given away more than $16 billion, investing mostly in global health, global development and U.S. education.
The new CEO will manage more than 500 people and work closely with Bill Gates as he moves away from his full-time job as chairman of Microsoft Corp.
