Terence Chang of Taiwan recently started The Happiest Blog as a personal project to promote happiness. The site has collected over 150 smiles in less than three months.

Terence Chang spent years as an IT consultant in Phoenix, Arizona before deciding to journey out on his own as an internet entrepreneur. He hadn't found personal fulfillment in his technical endeavors and wanted to be able to travel around the world and help people to be happier. He quit his IT job and created a few retail websites and began contributing to business and social networking blogs.

In February 2008, he created his happiest project yet - The Happiest Blog. Chang thinks that finding happiness isn't so difficult. And one of the best ways to spread happiness is through smiles. His goal is to collect photos of as many smiles as he can, and to post them on his site where others can enjoy them. "A great smile will bring happiness to the people around you, which will make you happy too," said Chang.

Initially, Chang found most of the smiles for his blog on Flickr. Then he started asking his blogger friends to share their happiness with his readership through a photo of their great smiles, along with the answers to simple questions about happiness. Chang says his friends have been supportive of the project. "They love the blog and how they become happier by seeing other smiles."

Chang says it's a tough choice to pick his favorite smile of all the submissions he's received. "I love every single great smile. But if I have to pick one, it would be the smile from my favorite blogger - Stacey, who I have never met. She is so lovely and her smile always makes me smile." You can see the link to Stacey's smile at www.smilemyday.com/smile/40

Chang intends to continue blogging at The Happiest Blog "as long as it takes." He enjoys the project and the opportunity to learn about how different people achieve happiness. He also receives lots of positive feedback and says "there's no reason to stop" as long as there are still readers!

"I encourage more people to participate the happiness project. By answering few simple questions above and submitting a great smile photo, you can help to make the world a happier place."
