I find there's much more of a sense of common ground than you perceive if you just watch the different news channels. There really is a center." 34-year-old singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley has an instinctive need -- almost a gravitational pull -- to stay connected to his past. "I like old things. Old things have memories attached to them. It just makes them have character -- old guitars, old trucks, old boots."
But among the new things in his life is a new album called, "Up On the Ridge."
