Toshiba to Develop Batteries for Electric Vehicles

Japanese electronics manufacturer Toshiba, which already makes batteries for laptops and cell phones, is undertaking its first electric vehicle battery deal with a major automaker, said company spokesman Ken Shinjo. Production will start in 2011.
