Health Net Sponsors Disabled Sporting Event in Sacramento

Health Net Federal Services, LLC, the government operations division of Health Net, Inc. (NYSE:HNT), sponsored "Their Spirits Inspire," Disabled Sports USA Far West's annual adaptive sporting camp in Sacramento, California, June 17-20.

The three-day event teaches children and adults with disabilities how to water ski, golf, handcycle, play wheelchair softball, and whitewater raft. Sports rehabilitation is an integral part of building self-esteem and confidence for individuals recovering and adjusting to disabilities.

The event ended with an inspirational dinner, honoring the men and women recently injured in Iraq. The proceeds from this event will continue to provide sports rehabilitation and therapeutic recreation for all individuals with any disability. - To develop technical assistance programs for Disabled Sports Chapters and other community based organizations.
- To promote full utilization of existing programs and facilities by people with disabilities.
- To encourage people with disabilities to be involved in the management and other aspects of Disabled Sports and its programs.
- To teach good sportsmanship, encourage competitive spirit and foster independence through program activities.
